Here we will be reviewing some of the videos currently on the market and some classics

YEAH RIGHT
The video features the skating talents of Girl riders Brian Anderson, Mike Carroll, Tony Ferguson, Rick Howard, Eric Koston,
Rick McCrank, Paul Rodriguez, Jeron Wilson, Brandon Biebel, Robbie McKinley, Jereme Rogers and more. Also, the video is packed
with cameos and special appearances, with people like Steve Berra, Jason Dill, Anthony VanEngelen, Owen Wilson, and Lance
Mountain.
The selling point of the video is the remarkable skatin' and also it's use of special effects sections, usually marked
by someone saying "Yeah Right!" or by it being written somewhere. These parts are great, especially from skating without boards
(invisible decks), a trippy "Skatrix" part, and actor Owen Wilson talking trash and skating pretty well for warming up (watch
and see).
The video starts with a tribute to Keenan Milton. This is a cool thing to see - he was very advanced and did a lot for
skateboarding more than anyone realised. The section is older grainy footage (still very sick stuff, 360 a fish board), and
sets a somber mood to the start of the movie. Then, after the tribute, the video moves into a sweet ass high quality intro
with the camera in slow motion, zoomed in on a skaters feet just showing the trick (is very good to learn from). Its mesmerising
and relaxing and sets the mood for the video. The girl team skates awesomely well and pushes things to new levels like Koston's
varial to nose blunt down a sketchy rail. The only real drawback I thought of is to this videos lack of soundtrack credits!
This movie has some great music, and you can find out who played what song by looking on message boards on the web. So it's
not that big of a deal - it just seems strange to leave it out a small bummer. Yeah Right! Is a truly amazing skate video,
and a recommended addition to any collection. It's on the clean side of skate videos, has awesome skating, and something for
everyone a must buy.

Emerica -This is skateboarding
Finally we have an Emerica video. As you know we had heard the hype about this one for months and
to me it lived up to its reputation.
The video contains the skating from the very dynamic hammer dropping team consisting of Andrew Reynolds, Ed Tempelton,
Tosh Townends, Chris senn, Eric ellington, Austin Stephens, Kevin long, Bryan Herman, Aaron suski, Leo Romero, Matt Allen,
Braydon Szafranski and heath kirchart.
The quality of the skating in this film is exceptional, as you would expect from a line up of so many all-stars and legends.
The film is very mellow it relaxes you even when the big tricks start to come. The music also exemplifies the effect. The
colours used in the film are also mellow there are lots of greys, whites and browns it makes the video very slick and stylish.
The editing of the film is fantastic there is no slips or scrappy bits of footage were the cameraman cannot keep the camera
still in his prepubescent excitement. Overall the video is put together very well.
Some of the parts are outstanding e.g. Kevin long that kid can pull some brilliant tricks. Mr Reynolds has his standard
hammer throwing extreme flippy, grindy massive gap kickflipping part. Bryan Herman has created a brilliant breakthrough part
and it shows now he may be going pro soon (well thats the rumour)
Overall Mike manzoori has made another very good video it has a nice variety of different styled skating and that is reinforced
by the choice of music and the way the film is put together.

THE DC VIDEO
The video starts quietly with cinematic flight footage. The quiet hum of a helicopter and soft background music is all
that's heard as the camera passes over a bleak high-desert landscape. And then you see it. A huge bad ass ramp in the middle
of nowhere, with a lone skater (Danny Way) standing at the top. As the helicopter gets closer, the figure drops in. Wind rips
at his shirt as Danny Way whales off the jump ram at the end, into free space...
The DC video is, in a word, fucking fantastic. You think it's a regular skate video, in that it shows footage of several
DC skaters doing their best, along with some sweet bails which it is all that and so much more. You'll see Pros Danny Way,
Colin McKay, Rob Dyrdek, Josh Kalis, Stevie Williams, Anthony Van Engelen and Brian Wenning, along with Ams Robbie McKinley,
Ryan Smith, Greg Myers, Lindsey Robertson and Ryan Gallant. The footage is polished and very smooth, shot all over the world,
from North America to Australia and to Europe. In fact, that's one of the best features of the video. The music and the footage
have a crisp, cinematic feel which complement each other fantastically. It's obvious that DC put a lot of time, money and
effort into their first video, which shows. The highlight of the video comes at the end, where we see the "Mega Ramp" all
I can say for this ramp is whoa. Again that we got a little taste of it in the intro. To the soft rifts of an electric guitar,
Danny Way and the huge ramp, he rides down pisses a backside 360 over the jump and lands on another ramp where he rides up
and pulls off a backside air. The ramps get further and further apart, and he catches more and more air while the music slowly
builds to the climax.
And then, incredibly, you witness Danny Way break not just one, but two world records consecutively -- the longest distance
jump (75ft backside 360 air) and the highest air (23.5ft backside air). It's beautiful like a majestic animal. The Deluxe
Edition video is packed with extras, like Christopher "Big Black" Boykin as Dyrdek Security - a huge guy following Rob Dyrdek
around, dealing with security officers and skateboards that don't cooperate. Very funny. The DVD regular version of The DC
Video doesn't feature all that much for special features and doesnt need to with that level of skating, but the Deluxe Edition
is packed with extras, behind the scenes, new footage and previously cut footage. The Deluxe Edition also comes with an 86
page full colour book packed with awesome photos, info, interviews - all kinds of stuff or thats what I have bee told.
This is an excellent video, and for DC's first video made, they pulled out all their best and more. It's definitely worth
the money. And if you're thinking about downloading it, then please kick yourself in the balls instead buy the video dont
down load it, will be crap you need to buy it on video and dvd to live the crispiness, feeling, pain and power of the video.
A must buy for any collection.

Birdhouse The End
This is the Birdhouse team at its best this video is innovative and creative it is what a skte video should
be.
The video consists of the B-house team from back in 1998-1999 Willy Santos Rick Mcrank Tony Hawk Bucky Lasek
Andrew Reynolds Steve Berra Heath Kirchart Jeremy Klien also a small debut from the now awsome Brian Sumner and
British Vert legend Ali Cairns.
The first section is a strange fast forwarded montage piece consists of Rick Mcrank getting a job as
a pro skater and filming his part in only five days this section shows Mcrank at his smoothest with unbeatable bs boardslides
and a massive 20 stair 50-50
Next is one of the best skaters in the world Willy Santos this man has the best and smoothest board control
in the world he seems to allways know were his board is all the time and his feet just hover above it.this section
mabe his best ever.
Andrew Reynolds back in the day here back to the massive kickflipping roots here.IF you want to see how a
Frontside flip is done then watch thes video because he does the best fs flip ever shown in this video
Another Stand out part is Heath Kirchart and Jeremy Kliens section together the pull some of the most
balls to the walls skate boarding ever. They are ollieing down 10 foot walls slideing massive rails skateing the
tops of bus stops and Blockbuster video signs and a burning shack which sets them on fire too
Tony Hawks part reminds you why this man is probebly the best vert skater ever to grace a ramp.He pulls
the first ever loop and a massive 720 varial. The man is awsome nothing more to say reallly
Then Bucky gets the last part. After killing Tony by blowing up the bull ring in mexico with alot of c4 he
shows what year of being tonys skate partner does for you.It shows the making of a future legend and now he is cementing his
reputation as one at this very moment
Easily one of the best videos i have ever watched its funny enjoyable and the most important thing is that
it makes you want to skate.Dont be put of by the age it is like a fine malt whiskey it matures with age. by Alex Clarke
Free your mind- Transworld Media
Free your mind is a very experimental journey into skateboarding especially across the west coast of America.
I would tell you all the skaters that feature in this video but there are too many to name there are only three parts in the
video and they belong to Rob Welsh Darrell Stanton and Dan Drebhol. but there are many many cameo apperriances actully there
is probebly more skateing by the cameos than the three main skaters.
